Our Good 'Ol Teddy is artisan made from natural indigo cotton poplin, grown, dyed, and hand-finished in Sakon Nakhon, Thailand’s historic capital of indigo. The fabric is created using a traditional batik resist-dye technique, where wax is carefully applied to produce a distinctive racing check pattern: a modern graphic expressed through centuries-old craft.

Dyed exclusively with plant-based indigo, the cloth develops subtle variations in tone and depth, ensuring that no two bears are exactly alike. The soft yet durable cotton poplin offers a refined hand feel, while bamboo button eyes add a quiet, earthy detail.

Each bear is made one by one by seamstress Nui, working from her home using a cottage industry model. This slow, intentional process allows for close attention to detail, precise construction, and a level of care that cannot be replicated in mass production. It is a piece of art that carries the story of place, process, and maker.
