Founded in Sagae, Yamagata, in the North of Honshu Island. A Prefecture famed for its knitwear. After decades of producing knitwear for countless fashion houses, the factory established in 1951 as Okuyama Meriyasu LTD; finally formed Batoner in 2013. Forging the journey from the raw materials to the finished product, the factory brand uses its history and resources to constantly refine and finesse process, creating beautiful pieces that are strong, robust, yet elegant and timeless all at once, in a way that the Japanese excel at.
