TENDER CROSSOVER STUDIO APRON - HADAL BLUE COTTON TICKING STRIPE
TENDER CROSSOVER STUDIO APRON - HADAL BLUE COTTON TICKING STRIPE
The Crossover Studio Apron is cut shorter than a standard apron, finishing at the hips, and keeping a shirt clean without constricting the legs. Rather than having a tie back, which can be fiddly to do up, the straps cross over at the back, keeping the apron hanging straight all the way round and allowing the apron to be pulled on in one, over
the shoulders. The straps are adjustable at the front with bent wire dungaree clips. The chest of the apron is lined, ending just below the pocket tops, which are supported by two layers of fabric and finished to Tender shirt standards.
Traditionally used for mattresses and the under layers of furniture upholstery, tickings are tightly woven to keep horsehair padding in place and prevent it from poking through more luxurious fabrics. Tickings are usually woven with alternating wider and narrower
stripes, which the upholsterer can use to make sure that the cloth is sitting straight and will not twist or pull over time.
This dye was the first of the Hadal series and is so-called Hadal Blue after the Hadal Zone, named for the greek Underworld, Hades as the deepest oceanic zone.
