Our week 8 collaboration focuses on a wardrobe classic, the humble t-shirt. While it may seem like just any other plain ol’ tee, Lady White Co is a real ‘if you know, you know’ kind of brand for us. And since we’re into those kinds of brands, it was a bit of a no-brainer to ask them to help us make a special tee to commemorate our 10 year anniversary.
Lady White Co sprang into life in 2015 from L.A. Originally focusing on creating the perfect white t-shirt, they’ve evolved into producing vintage Americana-inspired sportswear with a contemporary flair, to ensure the modern-day man is well equipped without looking like Ivy League cosplay. Moreover, nearly all of their products are manufactured in family owned factories within 10 miles of their design studio in Silver Lake. A conscious and bold choice.
We’ve chosen the store favourite, the Rugby tee, as our foundation for this collaboration. From the 10oz heavyweight cotton, to the high neck and boxy shape, it ticks all the boxes for what we want in a great t-shirt. It feels like the perfect synergy of the more contemporary side of our collections, coupled with our vintage genesis. To top it all off, we’ve requested the colour to be the same Pantone blue as the wall of one side of our shop, emulating a wonderful, almost faded indigo hue.
While it may not be made with an old loop wheel machine like some of our other t-shirts, it still stands head to head with some of the best in terms of comfort, quality and fit. Lady white have also kindly produced each piece with a limited edition cloth bag, celebrating the anniversary and collaboration, in their very own clean and chic way.
Come and own a fraction of the shop, or at least the colour of the wall, with this unique limited edition piece.
