Chamula is unique brand born from product designer Yuki Matsuda's travels through Mexico in the 90s. Fascinated by the intricate hand made goods of artisans through the rural highlands, Matsuda sought to preserve their work and give them a platform for their stories and history to be told.

Each piece is hand knitted by a Native Mexican craftswomen in Mexico, who looks after every step of the production process; spinning the yarn on hand spinning wheels, hand-dying fibres and hand-knitting each garment. These processes require focus, skill and dedication, which is evident in the finished product.
